Sep 12, 2018 · welp i preordered a 44mm but am now having 2nd doubts. i legit thought it was the same size as the 42, just with more utilization of the screen. but using the full-size mockup in the Apple app, the 44mm looks a tad too big for my 160mm writst. the 42mm is perfect for me (S3), and i had the 38mm for the S0. i was going to go ahead and list my S3
Sep 23, 2022 · Of course, as always, you'll need the appropriate band size for the appropriate watch size. The previous bands that fit the 40mm Apple Watch will fit the 41mm Series 7, and the 44mm bands will fit the 45mm size. Good news, your old bands are also compatible with the new Apple Watch Series 8 which comes in 41mm and 45mm sizes — just like Series 7.

Sep 21, 2023 · You can use a band that's designed for Apple Watch (1st generation) and Apple Watch Series 1, 2, and 3 with Apple Watch Series 4 and later and Apple Watch SE as long as the sizes are compatible. Bands for 38mm, 40mm, and 41mm cases are compatible with each other, and bands for 42mm, 44mm, and 45mm cases are compatible with each other.
The smaller size at launch was 38 mm (1.5 in), referring to the approximate height of the watch case; the larger size was 42 mm (1.7 in). Starting with Series 4, the two nominal sizes changed to 40 mm (1.6 in) and 44 mm (1.7 in). The nominal sizes changed again with the introduction of Series 7: 41 mm (1.6 in) and 45 mm (1.8 in).
